OUR STORY

Built With Resilience.

Filled with Personality.

Dime Store Diva is more than a place to shop.

It reflects Leonie's love for Biloxi, her eye for the unexpected, and her belief that shopping should always feel personal, memorable, and fun!

THE WOMAN BEHIND THE DIVA

Meet Leonie

Leonie is a lifelong Biloxi native who has spent more than 20 years serving her community.

Many of her customers began as salon clients, neighbors, and friends.

For Leonie, it’s never been just about the sale. It’s about creating a place where people feel seen, valued, and welcome. You’re never just another transaction, you’re greeted like an old friend and leave feeling like family.

A Belief in

Downtown Biloxi

When Hurricane Katrina changed Historic Downtown Biloxi forever, Leonie chose to invest where others saw uncertainty. She believed in the resilience of her community and its ability to rebuild, one small business at a time. That belief led to Lavish Salon and, years later, Dime Store Diva; both rooted in the heart of Downtown Biloxi.

She then served in Mayor A.J. Holloways Rebuilding the Renaissance committee, helping shape the vision for Biloxi’s recovery. That same belief in community, possibility, and creating something meaningful continues to inspire Dime Store Diva every day.

THE DREAM TAKES SHAPE

From Relationships

to Retail

Dime store Diva officially opened in October 2024. It's foundation was built through decades of relationships, creativity, and personal service.

The boutique reflects Leonie's personality and her love of helping women feel beautiful, confident, and happy.

Every item is intentionally curated.

Every display is thoughtfully arranged.

The Encouragement

Behind the Dream

Leonie knows that even in our most difficult seasons, something beautiful can emerge.

Her sister was Leonie's driving force, biggest cheerleader, and most honest critic.

Even while courageously battling ALS, she encouraged Leonie to pursue this dream.

She passed away shortly after the boutique opened, but her encouragement remains in the laughter, relationships, and celebrations of life's small joys.
